In a sign that the economy may be working its way back, Fort Benning - located in Georgia - has just commissioned three construction projects, collectively valued at more than $30 million. According to Canadian Business, the projects consist of an expansion to an existing rail loading facility, a new trainee barracks and a central issue facility.

In addition, Fort Benning has been awarded with three other construction contracts, which are said to be valued at about $44 million. All of this is taking place in spite of a slowdown in military construction.
