Attorney Robert Eglet has announced construction is scheduled to begin in June on a new four-story building in downtown Las Vegas that will host a number of law firms.

The new building is estimated to cost $18 million and will reportedly employ approximately 100 people during its 18-month construction. The massive complex will measure roughly 46,000 square feet and house four different law firms. An investigation company will also be taking up residence in the building.

One of the major features of the new building is the mock courtroom, which will reportedly be used to help prepare cases. The courtroom will be shared with the nearby William S. Boyd Law School at the University of Las Vegas.

"My partners and myself envision The Courtroom at the Advocacy Center to be utilized by the law students at Boyd School of Law allowing us to directly participate in their education and continue to attract the best and brightest to choose Las Vegas both for their education and law career."

Korte Co. has been decided upon as general contractor for the large project. Originally, the contractors were hired to begin work on the building in December, according to Las Vegas Business Journal, but the project has changed since then, adding a floor but decreasing in square footage.

Construction companies hoping to score major projects such as this need to be able to keep costs down. One way to do so is by buying used construction equipment online. The auction site IronPlanet backs all used construction equipment with IronClad Assurance, allowing buyers to view full inspection reports.
