IronPlanet is gearing up for another two-day Featured Auction, as there are more than 1,400 items that will be available on September 26 and 27. There are many different choices for those in the market for either construction equipment or agriculture equipment. Compactors, conveyors, cranes, excavators, farm tractors and dump trailers make up a decent portion of the selection, and there are many other machines, tools and vehicles available as well. Here
are a few highlights from the upcoming auction.

Trenchers
Buyers in the market for trenchers will find a number of different options available during the upcoming Featured Auction, including the 2007 Ditch Witch 1030 Trencher and the 1999 Case 660 Trencher. The walk-behind Ditch Witch, with its 43-inch trencher bar, is perfect for small jobs. The Case ride-on trencher may be better suited for a more labor intensive project, as its trencher bar extends 84 inches. Both items are protected by IronClad Assurance, which provides a detailed report of the equipment so buyers know exactly what they're bidding on.

Compactors
No matter the size of the job, IronPlanet has a compactor that fits the bill. There are vibratory plate and drum models available in the two-day sale, as well as soil compactors and tampers. Buyers will find many vibratory double drum compactors including a 2004 Caterpillar CS-563E ride-on model. This item features an open operator station with a sun canopy, an 84-inch smooth drum and a dual frequency vibrator. The auction also features a number of single drum compactors, such as a 2005 Dynapac CA250D. This machine has an enclosed cab with a heater, making it perfect for year-round use.

Backhoe Loaders
The upcoming auction has more than 30 different backhoe loaders, giving buyers plenty of options to choose from. The 2006 John Deere 310G 4x4 Backhoe Loader, for instance, has a general purpose loader bucket in the front as well as a 24-inch rear bucket. Those in need of something that can handle a heavier workload may be interested in the 2005 Case 580 Super M Plus 4x4 Backhoe Loader. Its 94-inch general purpose loader has an extendable stick to provide a wider range. The rear bucket is only 18 inches wide, which can prove advantageous in tight situations. The Case model is also ideal for those who are planning to work in adverse weather, as it has an enclosed operator
station with heat and air conditioning.

Boom and Scissor Lifts
There are many different uses for lifts whether working an outdoor or interior job, and IronPlanet has more than 100 different items available. Whether buyers are in need of telescopic or articulating boom lifts, electric or fueled scissor lifts, they should have no trouble finding a machine to suit their needs. Among the selection, there is a 2005 JLG 450AJSII Articulating Boom Lift with a maximum height of 45 feet and a 500 pound capacity. Interested bidders can explore the selections available during this week's auction. The listings provide a detailed account of the equipment.

With so many different items available, it is a good idea for bidders to find the items they're interested in ahead of time. Each listing is placed on the auction block for five minutes, making it important for bidders to know what they want. There are many different ways to place bids on the available items. Bidders who will be unavailable during the auction can place Priority Bids ahead of time. There is also a smartphone app that provides live updates of the auction in progress so bidders can compete for the equipment they want without having to leave the work site.
