Highlights of the October 11 Featured Auction

Posted by IronPlanet on Oct 10, 2012 12:37:00 AM

This week's IronPlanet Featured Auction has more than 750 items available, including construction equipment as well as agriculture equipment. With so many choices, interested buyers may want to take a look at the auction offerings to find the items they want ahead of time. The sale begins at 8 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Thursday, October 11, and every listing will have a five-minute window during which individuals can place bids to win the item. Bids can also be placed prior to the auction through the Priority Bid option on the website.

Concrete Equipment
This week's Featured Auction has many different concrete-related items, including concrete and grout mixers, pin drills, power trowels and concrete saws. There is even a 1993 Ford F-700 Concrete Saw Support Water Truck, which features a 1,000-gallon tank, a flatbed that is nearly 8 feet by 10 feet, a 4-foot, 7-inch lower extension and a Ford 6.6-liter diesel engine. This item is protected by IronClad Assurance, so buyers will know exactly what to expect if they win this auction. The water truck is one of the first items to reach the auction block, as bidding starts at 8:15 a.m. PDT.

Excavators
Most IronPlanet auctions have a number of excavators available, and this week is no different. There are more than 25 different listings in this category, including mini and track options. The 2002 Caterpillar 322CL Track Excavator may be ideal for some. This construction equipment features a heated enclosed cab, making it useful year-round. The bucket is 44 inches wide and the vehicle has 31-inch track shoes, giving this excavator the ability to be used at any number of job sites. This item will be available for bidding between 10:55 and 11:00 a.m. PDT.

Generators
Generators can be used to power all sorts of equipment, from power tools to lights and larger machinery, but can often be costly to purchase new. This is a perfect example of the benefit of buying used construction equipment, as IronPlanet has many affordable used generators in this week's auction. The 2004 Multiquip DCA-70USJ 70 KVA Generator, for instance, rests on a tandem axle trailer chassis, making it easy to move from site to site. Interested buyers can check out the IronClad Assurance report to learn more about this particular item.

Dump trucks
Whether removing materials from a construction site or bringing them in, dump trucks help facilitate the relocation of soft materials such as sand and dirt. Those in need of this type of transportation have a number of vehicles to choose from, including the 2000 Mack RD688S Tri/A Dump Truck. With a 16 by 8 by 5-foot dump body and a six-cylinder engine, this powerful vehicle could be exactly what the doctor ordered to get the job done.

These are just a few of the items that interested buyers can bid on during the October 11 Featured Auction. There are also many boom lifts, trucks, compactors, parts and tools that will be placed on the auction block as well. If there is anything a buyer cannot find in this week's auction, they can explore the Daily Marketplace and add equipment to their Needs List, which they can access online and through the auction site's mobile app.
