Everyone knows Jay Leno has a vast collection of cars, trucks and collectible machinery. So it's no surprise he's able to part with certain items for a good cause.

Last month, Leno auctioned off his 2007 New Holland Boomer Tractor, known as 'Lil Tug, to benefit the Fisher House Foundation, which constructs temporary homes for families of service members receiving care at a nearby VA or military hospital.

USA Today reported that the equipment was signed by former president George W. Bush, a vocal supporter of military families. Because of these famous ties, the news provider reported the tractor was expected to sell for $500,000. However, it actually exceeded expectations.

Ag Web reports that the equipment sold for $535,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.
