Ever wonder what it's like to climb into a shiny combine on a crisp October day and just harvest some corn? 

Unusual, yes, but there are enough people with this very wish on their bucket list for a business to spring up around it. Extreme Sandbox, the business that lets people operate real excavators and bulldozers, has branched out into farm equipment. For a limited time beginning about now through mid-November, clients can drive a brand-new Lexion 730 Combine and other tractors during a real harvest, gathering real corn and soybeans. during their Extreme Harvest event.

 After an intense week of auctioning Humvees, excavators, oilfield machinery and the like, the staff at IronPlanet likes to take off their hardhats and let their hair down. Usually we knock back a few Frescas or Dr. Peppers and play a round of Crazy 8s, but the September to Remember has folks feeling extra peppy. We need the strong stuff . . . we need to go BIG with Napoleon Dynamite, Mrs. Doubtfire, Austin Powers, Baby (not in her corner), Marty McFly . . . we need Uptown Funk!

Going BIG isn't a catchphrase at IronPlanet; it's a worldview. We love the all-out effort, the commitment, and in some cases, the lunacy that going big embraces. It takes a special kind of mindset to build a tunnel through the Rocky Mountains or complete an Ironman or Ironwoman triathlon (which is not related to IronPlanet but we so wish it were.)

We take our cues from the guys in this video who put it all on the line. Going big ain't always the easy way, but it's the best way. Have a great weekend and we hope your football team wins!

The snipe hunt has provided laughs in every profession that's been around long enough to have an old-timer and a newbie. Computer nerds tell younger geeks to fetch a length of W-LAN cable. Metric hammers and lef-handed wrenches are hiding at every construction site. Chopping flour doesn't break up gluten, and if you're in the body shop and somebody tells you to find the blinker fluid . . . well, consider yourself warned.
