After nearly a year of construction, Utah State University's brand new agricultural building is finally open, reports The Associated Press.

Construction began on the $43 million building in May and was just recently completed. The 125,000-square-foot facility held its ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday afternoon. The new building will house the agriculture, applied economics, journalism and communication departments.

The new structure replaces a building that was originally constructed in 1953 and badly in need of renovations. Students will now have access to high-tech laboratories and research facilities, along with expanded lecture and classroom space. A new cafe was also built on the ground level to serve students on the nearby quad.

A grant from the state of Utah also added solar panels to the side of the building, which will provide clean energy to the new facility.

Whether you're in the construction or the agricultural industry, IronPlanet has you covered when it comes to used equipment. The site's auctions offer a vast array of both types of equipment - everything from backhoes to tractors. Products marked with the IronClad Assurance symbol also come with full inspection reports that can be viewed before a buyer enters a bid, so they know exactly what they're getting.
