Farmers from all across the country are expected to attend the upcoming Wisconsin Farm Technology Days, which will be held July 17-19 in Outagamie County, Wis.

According to the Appleton Post Crescent, the two farms hosting the show have been preparing for nearly three years and plan to welcome 15,000 visitors from around the United States. Local officials estimate the event brings in $1.8 million for Outagamie County.

"It's equivalent to a very large sports tournament that occupies multiple hotels," Pam Seidl, marketing director for the Fox Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau, told the news source.

The show presents the very latest in farm technology, including agricultural equipment, animal care products, computer software and more. Visitors will be able to peruse tractors, sprayers, irrigation equipment and other tools. More than 600 vendors from various industries are expected to be in attendance.

"Agri-business affects cheese companies, dairies, food processors, the banks that lend money, trucking companies that move product and even construction companies that build everything from production facilities to free stall barns," said tech show chairman Vic Grimm.

Agriculture shows can be a great way to see all the latest equipment. However, farmers should keep in mind they can likely find more affordable used agricultural equipment online through IronPlanet.
