Posted by IronPlanet on Nov 17, 2015 5:10:06 PM

The demand for mobile cranes is high, and it's expected to grow for the next four years, at least. According to a recent article on Construction Equipment.com, "Demand for Mobile Cranes to Escalate into 2019," a Sandler Research report predicts the mobile crane market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.92 percent from 2015-2019.

IronPlanet's surplus heavy equipment marketplace is poised to meet the increased demand for mobile cranes.

1990 Tadano TR300E-2-00101 Rough Terrain Crane

Reportedly, the spike in demand can be attributed to vendors in the mobile crane market offering fleet management services. The upsurge in demand for mobile cranes also stems from growth in the population of urban areas and migration to urban locations, as efficient transportation and infrastructure facilities are necessary to support the population growth and migration. Additionally, increases in power plant construction are propelling global growth in the mobile crane market. Luckily, there are plenty of surplus cranes to meet the new demand in a cost-effective way.
