Iron Planet, a leading online marketplace for selling and buying used equipment and other durable assets, announced that it has conducted a record-breaking number of annual inspections in 2016, with over 100,000 pieces of equipment evaluated and certified by its professional inspectors, which is more inspections than the company has ever conducted to-date.

IronPlanet has inspected more than 100,000 pieces of equipment so far in 2016.

The figure represents a new annual record for the online equipment marketplace.

All of the inspected pieces of equipment were evaluated and certified by IronPlanet’s professional inspectors.

Webinar offers look at how online platform can boost used sales

Online used equipment marketplace IronPlanet is offering a webinar on how technology can help fleets get the most out of their used equipment sales. The webinar, "eBay to Excavators — Planning for Profit in the Digital Age," happens Weds., Dec. 14 at 10:00 a.m. PST / 1:00 p.m. EST.

IronPlanet Chief Marketing Officer Matt Ackley and VP of Seller Marketing Michelle O'Brien will discuss "evolving digital processes for marketing and selling in the fast-paced digital age," the company says. 

IronPlanet's on-site event will take place on Dec. 7 at Portland Meadows.

IronPlanet, an online marketplace for selling and buying used equipment and other durable assets, comes to the Pacific Northwest with its first Cat Auction Services Unreserved Public Auction in Portland, Ore.

The onsite event taking place on Dec. 7 at Portland Meadows, features nearly 500 items from sellers including: Western States Equipment Co., Peterson Cat and Peterson Equipment Dealers. Those who cannot make the onsite auction in person can still bid on the equipment of their choice with IronPlanet LiveStream, the next generation in online bidding for live, onsite auctions.
