IronPlanet's October 18 Featured Auction has plenty of tools, parts and more

IronPlanet's weekly Featured Auction is a great place for construction companies, farmers and other labor professionals to find used construction equipment and agriculture equipment for affordable prices. The October 18 sale has more than 800 items, ranging from large machinery such as excavators and compactors to smaller items including tools, parts and generators. Interested buyers can visit the IronPlanet website to browse the selection ahead of the auction and find the goods they need. They can place a Priority Bid on a particular listing or make note of its auction time to be prepared to compete for their goods when the sale begins.

Every Featured Auction has a different selection of equipment. This week, tools, parts and smaller machinery are prominent, but larger items such as cranes and tractors are available as well. Here are a few highlights of the October 18 auction:

Tools
Getting the job done often requires a wide variety of tools, regardless of the project, and IronPlanet makes it easy to get the right items. This week's auction has a number of saws, pressure washers, pneumatic breakers and material hoists among other tools. There are a few hydraulic rock splitters and various power tool lots as well. Unlike larger items, tools only spend three minutes on the auction block, so buyers might want to place priority bids ahead of the auction to ensure they get a chance to win the equipment they need.

Parts
Oftentimes, construction equipment can break down or wear out. In some cases, a machine may be irreparable, but other times it may only need a new part or two, and this is where IronPlanet can come in handy. Rather than purchasing a brand new replacement part, construction companies can find the items they need to get their construction equipment up and running during IronPlanet's Featured Auction. This week, there is a vast array of tires for a variety of trucks, skid-steer loaders and other equipment. Those looking to replace the cab of their Caterpillar equipment may be able to find an item that fits their need, as there are more than a few cabs that are designed to fit different equipment. There are also bucket pins, track pads, sprockets and more.

Larger Equipment
For those who are in need of major machinery, there are crawler tractors, excavators and other assorted construction vehicles available during the auction. For smaller jobs, there are numerous mini excavators, such as the 2009 Kubota KX121-3ST Mini Excavator. This open-cab machine has an 18-inch bucket, 13.75-inch track belts and a control pattern changer. For larger-scale jobs, the 2005 John Deere 160CLC Track Excavator, with its 38-inch tooth bucket could be just right. There are also crawler tractors, such as the 2008 John Deere 450J LT Crawler Tractor, which has a 97-inch wide, six-way blade. Each of these items is protected by IronClad Assurance, so buyers can check out the full inspection report before placing a bid.

The Featured Auction, which kicks off at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time, is fast approaching, so the window to browse the selection is closing. If interested bidders cannot find what they are looking for this week, they can explore the Daily Marketplace. Next week, IronPlanet is hosting a two-day Featured Auction that has more than 1,300 available items already listed online.
