SC&RA Annual Conference Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) Annual Conference held in Scottsdale, Ariz., April 2-6

IronPlanet team members David Tobon, Sue McGregor, Matt Bousky and Carson Ericsson attended the Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) Annual Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz., April 2-6. The conference included more than 700 attendees, including crane and rigging operations owners, CEOs, senior managers and other industry leaders. IronPlanet team members enjoyed attending education sessions by well-known authors and speakers at the event, and networking with members of the SC&RA, customers and other industry partners.

IronPlanet promoted the benefits of using an online global marketplace for buying and selling used cranes during the show. The theme of IronPlanet’s booth was “buy, sell, fast, easy.” IronPlanet’s online global marketplace helps organizations sell and acquire used cranes fast and efficiently. With the convenience of the Internet, sellers don’t need to ship their cranes to auction which can be very costly. And buyers can bid from the comfort of their own home or office which saves time and money. Buyers also have access to a global inventory of cranes and can bid with confidence because of IronPlanet’s guaranteed inspection reports.

According to Tobon, the majority of attendees were excited about the prospect of the industry moving forward. “We spoke with a lot of people at the show, and most were very optimistic about the industry and the economy as a whole,” Tobon said.

This marks the third consecutive year IronPlanet has participated in the SC&RA Annual Conference. “The show was a tremendous success,” Tobon added. “We enjoyed educating show attendees about the numerous benefits of using IronPlanet, and how we make it fast and easy to buy and sell used cranes.”
